The World Guitar Organization was officially founded by Yorgos Foudoulis in Volos, Greece, with the collaboration of 130 countries.
It is dedicated to promoting the guitar and its contribution to culture from 2000 BC to the present day, as well as organizing major global events.
It plays a significant role by offering patronage and support to guitar events worldwide.
The extent of the World Guitar Organization’s contribution depends on the memberships of its members, which are always reciprocal.
Its ultimate goal is to unite all those involved with the guitar (5 billion people worldwide), creating a world of culture with the guitar as the first symbol of peace and friendship.
